Though 2007 held some really wonderful memories, it was an emotionally devistating year and I am so ready to pick myself off, dust myself off and throw myself forward! Looking back, I realize how grateful I am to have such an amazing family and friends to help me through the most painful year of my life after losing my mom to cancer in March. I swear there were days I didn't think I'd make it through, and I spent many sleepless nights contemplating the meaning of it all. Thanks one more time for all the encouraging words and prayers, and support.
But a new year means a fresh start. A blank canvas. A clean slate. Kind of like a do-over or a mulligan. Thank goodness, I needed one.
So, in the spirit of starting over, I am super excited and looking forward to some new adventures in 2008! My Design Team position at the Itty Bitty Scrap Shack this year is going to be a ton of fun! It's a growing kit company with lots exciting ideas in the works, including a message board, challenges, technique samples and a big design team full of talent and inspiration. It's gonna be a cool place to shop and hang out so be sure to pop over and check it out, you'll be glad you did!
And finally...after more than 9 months of planning, my dream vacation to Costa Rica is just around the corner and I can't wait! 13 days of exploring, shopping, and amazing coffee! I hope there's enough room on my camera's memory card for all the pictures I plan on taking. This week sometime I'll be starting a travel journal to be sure I document every single sight, sound, taste, and smell of Costa Rica. Then of course, there will be an entire scrapbook album. My plate just keeps on getting fuller...
They say that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I must have muscles like the Incredible Hulk about now (buried under all the fudge and frosting-dipped pretzel sticks I had at Christmas time).
2008? I'm ready...bring it on!
